People will whine about how doing this or that is somehow ~disrespectful~ to these great and profound beings but then act like said powerful entities can’t tell their own followers if they dislike something, you know? Seems a bit contradictory, and not in the cool Dionysian way.

IME this is for real and folks who get up in other worshippers’ practices for being “disrespectful” need to drink some water and calm down.
