Tips for the Cheap Witch: Rune Stones

Really simple way to get started with runestones!

Just buy some glass beads from the dollar store (where I bought them), Walmart, Michaels,

They should be fairly large, mine are a bit larger than my thumb (and I would’ve liked a little larger), and have a flat bottom.

Then take a sharpie to em and write each rune on them!

For the best look write the runes backwards so the rounded top is facing the right way

Here are all the runes mirrored!

Once you have them all sharpied put a layer of clear nail polish top coat so they don’t rub off, and there you are!

Dad™(aka Odin)

aka All Dad, the god of magic, ecstasy, war, and humanities consciousness of inner divinity; He brings knowledge, beer, ideas, written word, and inspiration to help. Sometimes. These are ways I personally honor Dad™ and my personal associations with offerings. If you have something negative to say keep it to yourself, these are personal and work for me.

  • Do not make a oath you can not keep with him, he takes you word very seriously.
  • Wear a floppy hat in honor of his floppy hat.
  • Do research in honor of him. Find a subject you’re passionate about, read books on it, and write notes on it.
  • Drink meads, wine, stouts, black coffee, and dark teas in honor of him.
  • Include the runes in your practice or altar, any of them will work. I find he likes

Ansuz, Dagaz, Ehwaz, Ingwaz, Jera, Lagaz, Othala, and Wunjo the most from me.

  • Give him thanks on Wednesday(Odin’s Day).
  • Take the time to learn a piece of the local folklore whenever you travel somewhere new.
  • Practice thinking before you speak and think your actions through before you do them.
  • Decorate your altar and home in ravens, wolves, runes, and books.
  • Stay up to date with world news, be informed about what’s going on in your country and others.
  • Acts of courage in battle(any type of battles) can be dedicated to him.

  • Light incense or candles of opium, cedar, wine, sandalwood, dragon’s blood, and nag champa.
  • Learn the Elder Futhark Runes. What Odin did for them, what they are, and then create you’re own if you’re able.
  • Be courageous in honor of him.
  • Don’t be an alt-right piece of shit, don’t stand for any of that Nazi bullshit. Nazi’s don’t get into Valhalla.
  • Use the crystals amethyst, snowflake obsidian, any jasper, and fluorite.
  • Whenever you are approached by a raven say your good morning and gratitude to them.
  • Stand up for those in need and for what is right.
  • Always seek to be better, wiser.
  • Don’t associate him as this omnipotent deity. Odin bleeds and breaths just like you and I.
  • He also likes memes just like you and I. Not everything has to be serious with

    Dad™.

“Because I said so.”

bitch-imeanwitch:

witchsaidwhat:

A lot of people have commented about the fact that I end all of my workings/spells with “Because I said so” instead of things like “so mote it be” or “as it is willed.”

I have always been a witch that celebrates and embraces my inherent magic.  I have never been afraid of my energy and power.  And when I am casting any magic, it is my will and my power that I am utilizing at the end of the day.  “Because I said so” is a reminder to me and anything out there listening that my magic belongs to me, it is commanded by me, it is molded and utilized by me.

REMEMBER:  Your magic belongs to you and no one can take it away from you.  No matter what: no matter if they burn your books or break your wands; no matter if they cast all your herbs to the wind and cut you off completely from the witchcraft world. You power resides in you.

Because YOU say so.

And NO ONE has authority or dominion over your spirit except you.

Fuck it this is how I’m closing spells from now on

Witch hack

I’m sure a bunch of witches already know this, but I decided to post it for the people who don’t!!

I had some incense that I wanted to put Palo Santo in, but all I have are sticks of Palo Santo.

If you want to add Palo Santo to something, use a potato peeler on the sticks to get small, thin pieces of it.

Obviously be very careful while doing this, be careful with your fingers!!

Wanna break it down further but don’t have something like a mortar and pestle?? Just use a mixer from an electric mixer to crush the pieces up. It actually works really well!!

Things that are not true for all witches (even if they are true for you):

-The “Rule of Three”

-“Witches don’t believe in Satan!”

-“Witches can’t be Christians.”

-“Witches don’t hex or curse.”

-“Witches never practice magick for self-gain.”

-“Witches don’t use spirit boards.”

-“Witches believe in karma.”

-How about you do you and don’t try to tell other witches what to do/be?
