It’s been a while but I’ve managed to make a Greek pantheon hard enamel pin set to match my Egyptian one! I’ll be kickstarting it from September 25th to October 25th if you wish to pick up a Greek or Egyptian pin!
Spells 🌌 Spells don’t always have to involve huge rituals. There are simple spells you can do. Here’s a simple spell you can do involving any hot drink. This can be modified to suit your intent. 🎈 If the spell you’re casting, calls for it be forgotten after casting, do it right before you sleep, then let it go. It will manifest through the night.
Potions ☕ Use a tea/wine base for your potion which corresponds to your other ingredients. This saves time and looks less weird to others. You can just tell them you’re trying something new. I do this all the time. For instance, there’s a love potion I make which uses a readymade mango wine as a base, since mangoes symbolise love and romance. I just add my other ingredients to it. Simple!
Sigils 🎨Draw your sigils onto yourself, or any object with water/lime juice/washable marker or paint. It will wash off or be invisible, but still powerful.
Tools 🍦Don’t want to be seen with a wand? You don’t really need one. Wands are just helpful tools for directing energy. Your hand/finger works just as well!
BOS/Grimoire 📚 Forget physical books if you can’t keep one. Use an app/computer program with a password, or make a secret Pinterest board!
Altars 📦Your altar doesn’t need to be out in the open. You can hide it in a drawer or closet, or if you can’t do that, make a mini one in a shoebox or even a smaller portable one. 🔥
If your altar is just for a working space, you can use any surface. Just cleanse and bless it beforehand. 🔥If your altar is a dedication to a god/goddess/ancestor/etc, it doesn’t have to be all in one place. Place your items inconspicuously around your room/house, so it doesn’t look too weird.
Nature 🌱Being in nature is a great way to ground yourself, remove negative energy, and speak with the universe.
I have a feeling I’ve done one of these before… But there has been a request for a new compilation of spells to keep one safe from harm. And since God knows that no matter how hard I tag it, my stuff is never really organized… Have a new list.
(This is the process that works for me, practices and traditions vary)
1: Save old eggshells.
In this batch I used approximately 10 eggs.
If you choose, use a number of eggs which could be magically or energetically significant.
Wash eggshells in hot water and set aside to dry. Some people will take the extra step to peel the inner membrane off in order to get a finer powered, but I didn’t mind if it was chunkier.
2: Bake eggshells for 10 min at 250 degrees.
Watch them closely, don’t let them burn! Allow time to cool.
3: To pulverize the shells:
A clean coffee/herb grinder will work, but I prefer my pestle and mortar in order to work my intentions in kinetically.
-I do a lot of spirit work so I also added protective/purifying herbs including himalayan salt, pepper, red pepper, and angelica root.
As I set my intentions during grinding, I left a ‘door’ for the specific spirits which are my primary contacts so as not to inadvertently wall them out.
4: Transfer powder to clean, air tight storage.
– Use a small funnel and a reused salt or small herb jar and gently transfer powder. Pour in batches in order not to accidentally over spill. I made more powder then this jar could hold so I ended up transferring to a larger one.
5: Use
After smoke and bell cleansing the house,
I sprinkled the powder around the perimeter of the property and along all door and windowsills.
There ya have it!
Layer your protections with other techniques such as sigils, energy shields, salt rings or protective entities and enjoy an energetically safe home!
it takes years to develop your craft. do not romanticize the idea of an ‘overnight success’. be a student. grow organically. get really good. hate your work. start over. find new ways to express the same ideas. the student becomes the master. your time will come.
