Become inspired again in your craft!

Not going to lie these past few months have been hard for me to get through, staying in touch with my spiritual side and witchcraft journey has been a struggle, but recently I found my inspiration to continue on with it, I also get asked this questions a lot so here’s some ways I found useful to reconnect with my magickal abilities

The tips:

Look at some other witches blogs/instagrams/YouTube channels: this really helped me realise how much I loved it and wanted to really devote my time back into it

look back on your old book of shadows: see how far you’ve come

Go back to basics: work on meditation, grounding yourself and simple spells, work back up your spiritual journey there is nothing wrong with revisiting the stuff you already have learnt

ask questions, read books, talk to someone: if you have been feeling lost about your craft research a bit, it might help clear your head and clear things up

Use tarot cards, oracle cards, pendulums and more: ask your guides for their guidance and for them to help re-inspire you

sit out in nature: You night just need to have some well overdue time with Mother Earth. Just you and her sitting outside meditating and clearing your head

decorate your house: re furnishing your house to fit you better with newer things to help inspire your witchcraft will get you excited to start working on it, like furniture and new witchcraft supplies

look at some witch memes: hey it might not be the most productive thing but taking time to laugh at witchy things you can relate to you will boost your happiness and inspiration

I hope some of these helped, any further questions? Message me or send in a question! 🖤🌙

I just want a witchy girlfriend. A girl who’ll help me take care of my plants. A girl who’ll make me tea. A girl who I can go shopping for crystals with. A girl who’ll surprise me with a jar spell or something she made for me. A girl who’ll let me cleanse her apartment. A girl I can give herbs to. A girl who’ll remind me of the moon. A girl who’s magic.

I just can’t wait to find a witchy girlfriend

The Racism & Appropriation of Africana Traditions Masterpost

You’ve heard of hoodoo and “voodoo,” but what can you do? Everything you’ve ever wanted to know or ask about cultural appropriation and the various magic traditions, cultures, and religions that have their roots in Africa. I’ve featured a number of different posts that cover a range of topics and perspectives from various sources and bloggers. Updates and additions will be made over time!

So, what is cultural appropriation, and why does it matter?

How can I avoid racism and cultural appropriation of Africana traditions?

What are hoodoo, rootwork, and voodoo?

Is hoodoo really open or closed? What’s the real story here?

How do I know if I can practice hoodoo or what I can/can’t borrow from it?

I have reasons why as a white person I still want to practice hoodoo. Heard those other arguments before, please tackle the REAL questions?

If I’m already a rootworker, how do I avoid appropriation in the craft?

Posted 4/14/2018, updates pending. If you have questions, please ask bloggers who are legitimate practitioners of African descent or Afro-Latine heritage if your question relates to an Afro-Latine tradition. If you have concerns or anything listed here is problematic in some way, feel free to contact Yejide the OP!

Toilet paper pill box.

Another small fun project for recycling!
These are perfect for little gifts and a cute way to send
your jewelry to customers… it not only give a nice shell of
protection to the treasures you put inside, its cost free, customizable
and keeps recycling on the mind ❤

All you need are
– toilet paper rolls
– decor ( i used stamps)
– Tape or glue

image

image

Step one: decorate your roll.
I used some of my stamps, but don’t limit yourself to just that… you can
use old paper, photographs, tissue paper, paint, sharpie and whatever else you
have laying around to decorate. Mod podge and some pattered paper would
be fun!

image

Step two:
Once your roll is decorated to your liking, fold down the corners on one end,
making it look like little cat ears. Make sure they fold over each other so there is no
open gap, and tape down  ( you can also glue the end down)
* side note… if you dont like the look of regular tape, they sell something called washi tape? that comes in all sorts of amazing patterns!

-Step three:
When you have some side sealed and taped down, wrap and place your item/treasures inside the box ( i wrapped up some earrings)
and seal the other end, again making sure they fold over one another so there are no gaps.

– Step four… your done!

Again these are wonderful for gift giving and product packaging.
Small, sturdy, cheap, recycled pill boxes…. you can use old paper towel rolls
too! those are larger and can fit a bit more than TP rolls.

Holy crap I wanna do this.

This is actually great if you have a jar spell that gets buried! It’ll decompose rather than glass that will just take up space and turn into trash overtime. 🙂

OMG THIS IS EXCELLENT

One of my favorite bits of UPG (and it does jive with how I’ve experienced the gods) is of Loki as a loving and devoted father to all of his monstrous children.  It’s all like:

“So what have you been up to, kiddo?”

“I ENCIRCLE THE WORLD, FATHER, AND I SHROUD THE FARTHEST SEAS IN CLOUDS OF VENOM.  AND SWIMMING.  MUCH SWIMMING.”

“Oh my god, I am so proud of you.”
