DON’T YOU DARE PUT SALT IN THE GROUND.

DO NOT CAST SALT CIRCLE IN THE DIRT.
DO NOT SALT THE GROUND TO CLEANSE IT.
DO NOT BURY SACHETS THAT INCLUDE SALT.

STOP SALTING THE GROUND.

YOU WILL MESS UP THE SOIL AND HURT THE PLANT LIFE.
USE SOMETHING ELSE.

Alternatives : rice , potatoes , plant seeds ,sweet onions , eggshels , baked sun water , pocket sand and bones

Preferably not rice.. if birds eat it it can kill them. My preference is crushed eggshells or bonemeal. Good for the soil, safe for the environment, safe for wildlife.

Can the rice kills birds myth stop going around again? There’s literally no reason to think that rice kills birds. There are literally studies showing that this doesn’t happen. Rice is biodegradable, cheap, and a far better alternative to salt witch circles laid out in nature. Use rice.

So some dipfuck wrote an article for The Wild Hunt and is basically saying Trump is Loki.  It seems as if the fucker read only Ragnarok and nothing else.  What’s more frightening is that Lokeans might become a target in Trump’s America.

I don’t think it’s wise to smear the name of a Trickster god like Loki and expect nothing to happen to them because of said god, ya know?  Then again, this guy sounds like he can’t drop his bullshit xtian baggage (or people like him could be using xtianity as a template for control through religion, in this case it would be a Pagan one under the Norse umbrella).

You will most likely find Loki in leftist punk music than you will in any pro-government establishment.  Loki is not Satan.  Loki is not Trump.  Loki is Loki.  If you can’t think outside of the xtian box, you don’t get to call yourself a Pagan of any sort.

This is just FYI but I feel the need to point out that the author of the original article has a really bad habit of misleading people regarding his academic background and credentials and trying to claim he has authority in the community when he does not.

Salt circle alternative

I’ve been seeing a lot of posts that remind us not to use salt outside as it damages the earth and is just generally a bad idea. But these posts don’t really give an alternative so I’ll just say what I use

Crushed up eggshells.

It’s not vegan, sorry, but egg shells are of course completely natural, decompose quite nicely and are great fertilizer.

So next time you’re making some eggs, dry out the shells and use them to be a better witch. 🙂
