The Curse of Arrows

travelingwitch:

Locate the target on a map and point your body in that direction.

Lift your arms in a mimickry of drawing an arrow back on a bowstring.

As you pull the ‘arrow’ back, feel your anger towards this person in the area of your heart, touching your heart with your drawing hand. Imagine that the anger in your heart is a poison that has now drenched your arrow.

Let the arrow fly loose in the person’s direction, carrying with it the poison.

Negativity Trap ⛓

lunaesteria:

A method of protection that is meant to trap negative energy and purify it.

Items & Ingredients:

  • A sealable jar (a mason jar would be fine)
  • Sea salt (acts as the initial trap)
  • A few drops of lemon or lime essential oil (cleansing & purification)
  • Clean water (cleansing & purification)

Instructions:

  • Fill the bottom of the jar with sea salt, about an inch or two deep
  • Add a few drops of your chosen essential oil
  • Fill the rest of the jar with clean water
  • Seal the jar and shake to activate
  • The idea is that the sea salt traps the negative energy, and the essential oils and water will purify it
  • Leave this jar in places in your home that receive a lot of traffic from guests (front porch, next to the front door, living area, etc.)

The Living Wiccan’s “Hell Hath No Fury” Protection Powder

thelivingwiccan:

This is a very simple protection salt I use to ring around my rituals, cleanse my spaces, and even sweep the floor with.

image

It’s good because not only does it protect, but gives a nice bite back to any negativity/entity/thing that tries to cross it. Best for ritual work and simple spirit work, not necessarily protection from physical attackers.

It’s something pretty much every single one of my readers can make at home with its ridiculously simple ingredients and process, but it’s not something that everyone would think of off the top of their head.

Ready? Here we go. Try not to sneeze!

You’ll need:

  • 1 part sea salt (coarse is best: see picture below)
  • 1 part black peppercorns
  • 1 part chili powder

image

image

  • a large bowl
  • mortar and pestle
  • bottles (size varies on how much you want to make)
  • funnel (optional, but not worth leaving out)

image

Step 1:

Place the coarse salt and black peppercorns in the mortar and pestle. Grind them together. Yes, technically this could also be done with ground pepper, but I find the actual effort put into grinding them makes the powder more effective.

image

This’ll take a long time — you’ll want it to turn to a fine, light brown powder.

Step 2:

Yes, you guessed it: place the sea salt and chili powder in the mortar and pestle and grind together. Remember how I said this was easy?

image

This should turn to a light orange, almost pink when finished (my pictures really don’t do it justice).

Step 3:

Add the two together. You can see the peppercorn mix on the left and the chili pepper mix on the right.

image

Step 4:

Ready? Time to get this thing in a bottle. This is where that funnel I mentioned earlier can really come in handy.

image

And there we have it! Put a nice little label on it, put the date you made it on the back, and now you have your own all-purpose protection powder.

Spirit-B-Gone Powder

will-o-the-witch:

image

This is a powder designed to quickly banish a spirit, while neutralizing any of their attempts to harm you. It is not designed to play nice, so keep that in mind when deciding when to use it. Hopefully you will never need it. (Though if you DO use it, I’d love to hear about your results since by nature it’s something I kind of avoid thoroughly testing!)

Ingredients:
I mix them intuitively, so the amounts are whatever feels right. Generally this takes more salt, though.

  • Salt (Protection, banishing)
  • Pepper (Banishing, protection)
  • Chili Powder (Banishing)
  • Grey Salt (I make this the same way as most black salt recipes, with the ashes of incense. Grey is neutralizing.)
  • Cayenne Pepper (Banishing, adds strength and speed)
  • Ginger (Banishing, adds strength and speed)

Put it in a bottle or container and give it a good SHAKE!!

  • Soak yourself in the water for 15-20 minutes.
  • After 15-20 minutes take some cinnamon and stir it in the bath while saying/thinking “Lucky waters bring me luck.” as many times as you wish.

  • Obviously, blow out your candles after the spell is complete.

KIKI’S RIBBON (A SIMPLE CONFIDENCE SPELL)

(In the beginning of Kiki’s Delivery Service, Kiki wasn’t pleased about the black dress her mom had given her… however seems to like it by the end of the film. This is a self confidence spell. )

Things You Will Need:

(1) White or Black Candle (white creates poise and confidence, black increases assertiveness and confidence.)

(1) Mirror (to look at your lovely self, what else?)

(1) Red Ribbon (To connect with kiki, and also because red stimulates confidence and draws attention.) *Can be substituted with any wearable accessory that is red.

How to do the spell:

set yourself up at your mirror, ground yourself if you wish. Take a moment to look into your own eyes and focus on your intentions.

Then, light your candle, and grab your ribbon (or other red accessory)

hold the candle in one hand and the ribbon in the other. Imagine the light of the flames surrounding the ribbon. Place the candle down and begin to wrap the ribbon around a place of your choosing (or place your accessory on) and as you are doing so, say:

“With this (accessory) my true form shall appear. A form of greatness, and beauty. A form of strength and care. All of those things are what I am, and what others shall see. Though I am not perfect, I am surely close. My confidence is there, it’s no longer hard to see. My confidence is there, It flows from within me.”
