Imagine discovering such a beautiful and useful concept as magic and immediately turning it into a fucking weapon. I hate fascists so much.
I’m not going to repost the image but Operation Werewolf is trying to make an army of obedient nazi drones through use of meditation, ritual, ceremony and sigil magic.
Skadi is the goddess of the hunt, winter, mountains, and mistress of dark magic. These are ways I personally honor Skadi and my personal associations with offerings. If you have something negative to say keep it to yourself, these are personal and work for me.
Leave milk or red wine by your door on a winter’s night to invite her in. specify that is for her and her company as to not lore in something else.
Drink harsh herbal teas, black teas, vodka, or winter ales for her.
Gather snow from the first snowfall and use it in offerings or rituals that involve her.
Spend time by yourself in nature, hunting or hiking.
Use the runes
Ehwaz, Hagalaz. Isa, Kaunaz, or Thurisaz in your altar or practice.
Donations of time or money to protect natural areas or to help save the wolves.
Light candles or incense of dragon’s blood, myrrh, pepper, juniper, blue spruce, pine, and winter oriented scents.
Give her offerings of berries or other foods that can be gathered in the wild.
Work on meditation, it’s important to her that you have a clear mind when working with her.
Decorate your home in found objects of the winter, forest, greens, greys, wolves, arrows, animal skins, bones, or anything that reminds you of her.
You can do work with forest or land spirits as an offering to her.
Leave a drop of your blood in freshly fallen snow as an offering(this also works for Hel).
Include the crystals seraphinite, labradorite, moonstone, clear quartz, tigers eye, or malachite on your altar or in your practice.
Travel to the mountains and dedicate your time there to her.
Practice independence, learn to rely on yourself more, and to be comfortable in your solitude.
Go play in the snow!!
Keep up with the moon cycles and do offerings on the New and Full Moon.
When casting a curse, hex, or binding call to her for assistance.
This is neither a curse, nor a hex, as it does not return
the pain caused (though it can easily be reformatted to do so), but simply
makes the aggressor aware of it. More than that, it is to force them to
understand the pain caused. Do not be wary of its simplicity, for its effects
are tried and true.
Gather
A large bowl – the darker in color the better **
Water **
(Optional, though highly recommended): a personal affect of
your aggressor)
(Optional: a Candle, black or white)
** Alternately, you can replace the bowl and water for a
mirror or other scrying surface of your choosing
Instructions
Take with you your items to a dark room. Light the candle
(or another dull light source) and pour your water into the bowl. The goal is
to arrange it so that you cannot see through the water, but can only see the
reflection on its surface.
When you have found the perfect lighting, take the personal
affect in your left hand and “find” them in the water. You want to use the
affect to attune to their spirit/energy so that you can “see” them. Keep
working until you have a definitive link. You will know it when you have it.
Once the link has been made, using your right hand, dip your
fingers into the water (hence why the bowl of water is preferred) – this represents their subconsciousness.
Bring forth the incident in which you were wrong and “place alongside” it, your
own pain. Not in such a way as to inflict the pain, but to make them aware of
your own. If you find it easier, feel free to speak what they have done aloud and
the results of their actions. “This is what you have done.”
When you have said your peace and shown them what they need
to see, break the link by flicking the water from your fingers onto the surface
and releasing the personal affect from your hand. Pour out the water wherever
convenient and do with the personal affect whatever you feel is appropriate.
There is no need to destroy or get rid of it – in fact, you may wish to hold
onto it for any further work.
Please note – though I myself am not a spirit worker, I’ve done enough research and seen enough of other people’s personal stories to say this: spirit work is not always light and fluffy and happy (obviously it can be, but not all the time). Spirits are not all willing to work with you peacefully – some are even downright rude or aggressive. It can be dangerous, and there are risks of getting involved with other entities not of this world. Make sure you know what you are getting into completely and are well prepared before engaging. Read and practice at your own discretion.
