I am a very depressed witch. As such, I tend to catch more…. malevolent spirits when I try to communicate with them, or even walk in a place they’re in. This is because some spirits feed off of feelings like anger, sadness, and fear.
However, I am also a death witch and spirit worker. I try to find pleasant spirits and such, but sometimes I act as a magnet for the not-so-nice ones. (And I’m not saying scary. Because scary does not always = bad. Serious misconception there).
Now, depression attracting ill-wishing spirits may not be true for everyone. For some, it could be the opposite, or have little to no affect on the paranormal crowd you acquire. But for the sake of this post, I’m using my own experience.
To combat the amount of spirits I come into contact with that wish me harm, I have created a ward of sorts. It acts as an auric/energetic cleanser, so as to remove and conceal the negative feelings I have. Now, this isn’t designed to get rid of how you feel, it’s more to make you seem positive on the outside. It’s like a decoy around you, acting as a second, more outward aura. I’ve found that it does help me feel more positive, but didn’t necessarily make the feelings go away.
To create it, You’ll need a Necklace, (necklaces or bracelets are what I use, because they lie near/on pulse points), a chant of your making (or the one below), and a window.
Chant:
When worn this piece will protect Me from all that is malevolent
Cleanse and disperse the negative here Cover it up everyday of the year.
Keep the spirits wishing me ill Away from me, this is my will.
With sun and moon I charge this ploy, To act and serve as my decoy.
Say, sing, or think this chant, and add your own personal energy with the intent.
I recommend re-doing this once a month on the full moon, and charging it everyday. To charge it, place it in direct sunlight (unless it will fade, then cover it and put it in the sun). I would always have two pieces of jewelry so you can wear one while the other charges.
Hello! This is a quick little guide on making yourself a self care sachet. This can be used by anyone, but is centered around aiding those with long term mental health issues such as depression or anxiety.
They are basically a little promise you are making to yourself. Whether that be to remember to feel less anxiety over doing daily activities such as washing or brushing your teeth or just a reminder to not be so hard on yourself and to drink more hot chocolate, it’s up to you what you pick. The idea is to pick a purpose that cares for you in a positive way. I’ve been making these recently and they have really helped me. As the process is quite beginner friendly I thought I’d share!
You will need:
Herbs of your choice (Optional)
Small crystal (Optional)
Tissue paper (ordinary paper if you lack tissue paper)
scissors
A lighter/matches
Tape OR string
pen
ordinary paper/leaf
1. Write your intent down.
Some examples of intent: “I try my best to eat regular meals” “I am able to stay calm outside of my room” “I allow myself to enjoy a hot chocolate”.
Create a sigil out of your statement and write it down on another piece of paper or a leaf.
Read your statement out loud and will all of your energy into visualising it coming to fruition.
Burn the piece of paper/ the leaf and collect the ashes.
2. Gather your materials.
Cut a small square to make your sachet with from your tissue paper.
Add each of your chosen herbs to the middle. (I chose lavender for peace/anxiety, sage for wisdom and cleansing and dried dandelions picked in beltane for positivity and energy)
Add your crystal.
Close the sachet by either taping it or tying it together with a piece of string.
3. Hold the sachet in your hands.
Again, visualise all of your positive thoughts and good energy flowing through your arms down into the sachet. Kiss it, if that’s your thing.
You are done! Carry the sachet with you in your pocket, put it under your pillow, do whatever you want with it. Hope you have a nice day c:
If you are like me, then unfortunately driving is not a fun experience and you are full of dread the whole drive. To help me with my driving anxiety (and anyone else who has this problem), I have made this spell. I hope it helps anyone who feels anxious while driving!
🔮 Lavender – for driving anxiety
🦇 Basil – for protection
🔮 Bay leaf – protection
🦇 Cinnamon – also for protection
🔮 Sage – long life and protection
🦇 Amethyst – for anxiety
🔮 Quartz – for protection
🦇 Rose quartz – for confidence while driving
🔮 I sealed it off with a yellow candle to represent happy thoughts while driving.
I am using this jar to facilitate the use of my passions to generate income.
For this jar I used:
-Dried Basil
-Salt
-Cinnamon
-the Ashes of a Sigil
-Cedarwood Oil
-the Wax of an Orange Candle (I mixed Cinnamon with white wax for this effect)
1. Burn the sigil and grind together with the basil.
2. Combine all ingredients in the spell jar and cork it.
*I like to draw the sigil on the bottom of the cork for that extra UMPH!
3. Seal the jar with the orange wax.
I am keeping this jar present whenever I am doing passion-work, or anything of the sort.
Hi, I don’t curse, but can we all just agree that cursing white supremacists is a really good-heckin idea right now? Can everyone please just get along and work together to annihilate the fucking Nazis? Just imagine we’ve got our cursers on offense here in combat sending forth their collective conscious force of magickal fucking wrath and non-cursers on support throwing binding spells left and god damn right, energizing the magickally drained cursers after battle, and healing those ill-affected by the war. I’m honestly not settling for less than some fantastic full fledged army of Nazi-ass-busting witches here.
I’m in
Idea for non-curser witches: you can always bind their sorry asses from hurting and harming others. Just a friendly witch tip 😉
It’s also a good idea to cast protection/good luck spells to help protect the people in danger of nazi bullshit
I’m glad you all enjoyed this edition of “Late Night Stonery Ramblings with Amanda” which I barley remember writing from my apparent high-induced inspiration for motivational speeches and destroying the Nazis.
I’m gonna be slaving away at the keyboard today gathering a wide variety of information to compile a detailed master post with spells and tips for both cursers and non-cursers to all gather and merrily participate in the Nazi-ass-busting together in harmony.
[Spell Jar to Protect American Minorities]– I need to give a special shout out to the creator here because this spell is fucking awesome and is absolutely perfect for this cause and useful for all types of witches!
[Avada Kedavra Curse] – “a
harry potter inspired curse designed not to kill, but to make the
target feel death’s presence in their life.”
[Red In Your Ledger Curse] – “a
curse to inflict all the pain a person has caused back on them, one
item at a time.”
[Seven Devils Curse] – “inspired
by florence + the machine’s “seven devils”, a curse to burn the
kingdom of and haunt the target.”
[The Gaston Curse] – “curse to knock someone off of their high horse and make them feel the pain they have inflicted upon others and/or you.”
[Voice Theft Curse] –
“a curse to stop someone who has been spewing hateful speech and words and return that negativity they put out back into their life.”
Now go forth my children, and give em’ fucking hell.
One of my favorite Disney witches, Eglantine Price, proudly defended her country from Nazi invasion through the judicious use of barely understood spells and charms (never could get that toad spell down).
I would be honestly astonished to discover that any of my friends here on Tumblr were Nazi sympathizers, so I doubt anyone will be bothered by my complete lack of trouble with reblogging this post.
However, since I am certain a great many people who do magic are thinking of doing this exact thing, might I suggest a few tactics?
1. If you aren’t good at curses, or don’t desire to curse, but you do want to go on the offensive, there are confusions spells and “bad timing” hexes, and of course the occasional useful weather spell.
2. If you’re a more kindly sort, protection spells can be cast not only on your more aggressive magical counterparts, but also upon potential victims. Concealment spells and “nick of time” charms might also not go amiss.
3. For those who work with spiritual forces such as gods, fae, ghosts, or otherwise, calling them forth to aid the situation might be exactly what the doctor ordered.
Our recent Circle of Salt podcast episode talked about exactly this phenomenon, so let me also remind you all- if you want to be public about your spells and join a movement, remember that the work on 45 is in fact working if we observe the evidence. For those who wish to be less open about their work, or aren’t fond of joining these kinds of things, I encourage you to focus at least some of your efforts on doing something useful that hasn’t been advertised yet.
For all of you, make sure at least part of your magic is intended to bring about blessings to the rest of us, because life is hard, and endless aggression and fighting makes it harder. The dangers of a witch war often are not only found in how another’s spells affect us, but in how our own outlook affects the rest of our lives. Take care of yourselves and each other, first and foremost.
A soothing glamour spell to get rid of old anxiety and prepare yourself for a new year. Can be repeated as often as you feel the need to and will strengthen your wards continuously.
1. Assemble all your favourite products for a nice and long shower. For cleansing I used a Body and Face Scrub, Shampoo, Body Wash, Razors and Shaving Gel. Start with those products.
As wards I used Conditioner, a Hair Mask and Moisturizer for both Body and Face. Those are some of the products I always use but usually I’m to lazy to use them all together.
The best thing is that you don’t need to buy anything for this spell to work. Use your favourite products, scents you like and are familiar with. Charge them with crystals or sigils if you want.
2. Now it’s time to actually start. Light your candles, incense, put crystals around the room and paint sigils onto the mirrors. I did not do anything of that because I just had the idea for the spell when I was already in the shower. But some calming music I like was playing in the background.
3. Start with your cleansing products. As you apply them visualize and remember how you felt during the last school year but don’t get lost in those thoughts as they could be anxious. Keep in mind that this is in the past. Let those memories and feelings take some kind of form. I liked to imagine that they lay on top of my skin and scrubbed them of with every product.
4. Apply your products, one by one. Let the shampoo wash off the thoughts that got stuck in your hair, the body scrub get rid of the stuff your body had to carry. Rinse off.
5. Take a little break and think about the way you want to be in this upcoming year. I thought of myself sitting in school, feeling rested and focused. I got my papers back with A’s on them, felt energized during exams and well prepared. Old anxiety from last year would no longer make me feel bad and scared. Learning new things was easy.
6. Now apply your warding products. Continue thinking about the way you want to be and those products are your armour. They shield your body from negative thoughts, stress and high expectations from others and yourself. You don’t have to be focused all the time, I let my mind wander but made sure to come back to those visualizations as soon as I went to far or felt anxious about the upcoming events.
The basics of the spell I believe got me a job interview within 2 days:
Materials:
A favorite incense that helps you think of success or liveliness.
A representation for value/money. (gold, a favored crystal/stone, etc)
Fire and a place to burn a small paper.
Green ink or marker.
A candle for the deity or spirit you would like to ask for help from, or if you don’t work with any, pick a candle that is a color you feel appropriate. Suggested: green, gold/yellow.
A symbol (sigil etc) that indicates your goal, motivation, or direction you want in life.
1) Burn your incense. I chose a patchouli/forest incense. Patchouli attracts prosperity, and forests thrive and sustain themselves richly without interference, and are their own ecosystem. That’s how I want to be and what I want to accomplish. The incense had a green color so that helped also.
2) Take your object of value (I chose a piece of gold jewelry kept on my gods’ altar) and run it through the incense smoke while you begin to focus your intent. Enter a mild meditation or trance if you can, and begin to push the intent into the object. The purpose of this object is to keep it around your person as long as you feel it helps, to attract opportunity and to motivate.
3) When you feel ready, set the object aside or on your altar if you have one, then light your candle. If you work closely with a deity, ask if they would be willing to help your purpose with their energy.
4) Get a small strip of paper and your green marker. Write the symbol you’ve chosen on the paper, and if you have a preferred job, write the name of it on the other side of the paper. If you’re asking a deity’s help, the symbol should be of Theirs or something that indicates Their strengths. I used the Kenaz rune because it’s my favorite and I use it for a lottt of things.
Here is the chant to say while building and focusing intent as you write. If you have room on the paper without it being too big, write the chant down too.
Doors of success, open to me
I stand on my own and take what I see
Doors of success, open to me
Prosperity is mine, I blaze my way free
Light the paper on the fire in the candle, and let it burn in a safe location. Repeat the chant as much as you feel you want to while it burns. Envision the fire being fueled by the intent you put into the paper while you wrote. I prefer to do this spell in front of an open window–I feel it lets all the smoke from the incense and paper suck out, like releasing all your purpose out into the air to do its job. But that’s only important if you feel it is.
Put out your candle however you see fit, but let the incense burn out all the way. Keep the object of value (that you charged/enchanted for attracting your job, motivation, or money) either on your person or beside the candle you used.
